I So Deserve This, Part II

Okay, so I need to amend my earlier post about my Colonial Day food assignment. I told you I had to make Chicken Pie.

I read it wrong, perhaps because at least Chicken Pie, or a pot-pie, is in my realm of comprehension. But NO, my assignment is "Chicken Pudding." I feel so much better now.

I saw that and was hoping for you that the orginal list had a huge typo.

But this actually could be a blessing in disguise. With a name like Chicken Pudding, who's really going to eat it anyway? I doubt my kids would. Maybe it won't matter if it doesn't taste good...

Oh nooo! What is chicken pudding? Now if it were corn pudding, I could give you a yummy Paula Deen recipe:) Be sure to let us know how it turns out!

Yeah, I saw the typo but did not want to say anything...

I think that school sucks. The teacher too. If a teacher ever even suggested that I bake a WHOLE TURKEY for thanksgiving (being out $50), I would say, Uh, you better count on one of those rotisserie chickens from Sam's that costs $4.95.

Either that, or I'd say, Sure no problem! Just deduct it from next month's tuition check.

I am sick, Sick, SICK to death of schools asking parents for money for stuff left and right. Field trip money! Special Hot Lunch money! Special Event T-Shirt Money! Extra Classroom Decorations Money! Supplies for class parties! Presents for teachers! Take Your Kid OUt To Lunch Day!

Where does it ever end?

I wonder if they're using the term pudding in the British sense? As in, all desserts are called puddings? But then again, why the hell would there be a chicken dessert? You're screwed, either way. You really MUST take a pic or post the recipe to whatever you end up making!

And chicken pudding would be...what? Not familiar with that dish from ye olde times.

Get chicken pot pie and call it chicken pudding.
