I'm sure garages are overrated anyway.
And for those of you who like before and afters, here are some of my curbside and thrift shop finds from elsewhere on this blog:
buffet
suede chair
dresser turned console
assorted dumpster dives
dining room table and chairs
dining room table and chairs
black bedside tables

Lol, I love that comic, so funny! Your before and afters are gorgeous.
Hello, I love you.
We may be sisters, methinks!
I love thrifting and dumpster diving, but dumpsters are scarce in these parts :) LOVE your projects!
I think we are two peas in a pod when it comes to "saving" furniture! You sould visit my blog when you have the chance. Love your before & afters. I've become a follower!
Love the sander. I once had to sand a table to repaint and thought, "never again." That was brutal.
Hope you don't mind my saying this, but your Tom guy's quite cute. As Kate Coveny Hood said: "Love the sander." And your good taste does extend through to the dumpster finds, fixes and on-target, yes-I'm guilty-too comics.
Ha! I'm often the "Oh, please, no!" lady in that comic. Sometimes I even do it when I watch the curbside shoppers out in force on city-wide clean up day, and I'm not even personally vested in their efforts! I blame my lack of home improvement skills!
I am so glad that you dropped by and left that nice comment.
I remember that awesome suede chair re-do. Very impressive.
The cartoon is great.
I signed up as a follower so that I can keep up with your make-overs and comical antics.

Oh - that is too cute! Love the comic :)
Thanks for the comment on my blog - I signed up as a follower here!
OMG! I can't believe how much this is true!! I need to print that out and blow it up and put it on my bathroom mirror so I read it daily! I have an obsession/addiction to all things junk.
So funny and I just love your before and afters. You're so handy!
Great little comic, I have been going through your past projects and just love all of them. Thanks for all the inspiration.
Sandy
I really enjoyed looking around your blog! LOVE the comic strip!
