Our family did a 5k/Fun Run this morning and we all wore blue ribbons to honor Jack. So many people knew the ribbons were for Jack without even asking. It made me SO happy (and SO sad at the same time). There are tons of people out here praying for you guys. It was an honor to represent Jack today. Stay strong.
PS thank you Jack for getting me off my ass and making me do something no one has ever made me do -- run a race (and I liked it)

I was happy to contribute to Jack's 13th! It's a big milestone birthday, and although it's NOTHING like you would ever have imagined and is heart-wrenching, to butcher a Shakespeare quote, there's special providence in the fall of a sparrow. I hope I'm not misquoting, I always think of the line to mean that God has some sort of plan. Regardless, I'm happy to donate to Jack's favorite fund, and please don't hesitate to ever ask for donations. It feels good to do something.
I was thinking of you recently—a friend of mine's daughter passed away from cancer (and please know I don't think of you only when tragedy strikes, but your family is often on my mind) Her daughter was 21, and had been struggling for awhile. This mom has a blog and is at the very beginning of her grief journey.
