Well, this itty bitty before and after project has been waiting for you for a while, but looking for the (gone forever!) inspiration pics took me longer than the actual project did.
This project was inspired by dark metal baskets in the PB catalog holding fresh white towels. You'll have to trust me on this.
I found 3 Elfa hanging drawers at the thrift store for less than $2 each.
Then, I spray painted them with Oil Rubbed Bronze spray paint.
Voila! Industrial-chic towel baskets!
Love them! Alas, my bathrooms are too small to have them sitting jauntily on the floor like in the PB dream-world.
What other uses can you think of for these refreshed cuties?

What a great hack! I would have never guessed those were Elfa baskets!
I vowed to carve out Pinterest time for myself once school started, no luck so far. After seeing this post I guess I better vow to be more crafty also. Thanks for the inspiration!
I don't know what Pinterest is, but refuse to google because in my head, I think it's a site that adds dark, acerbic, pithy comments to photos. I love the baskets -- they look so much cooler than they did in white. Maybe smaller ones for art supplies and desk accessories? Now I'm kicking myself for throwing out a big Pottery Barn Canvas bin because of Irene damage. I should have rescued the wire liner and Anna-ized it. It would have been an amazing magazine holder.
Yarn!
