This mere steps away:
Great food and cold beverages:
And great friends to share it with:
Yes, during my girls' weekend in Florida I toyed with the idea of running away and embracing the sun and sand on a more permanent basis. A little cottage by the sea, perhaps?
There's only one problem, and it's a biggie:

Think of it as fluffy - NOT frizzy! That's what headbands and pony tails are for!
Made me smile - great post!!
Ha ha ha ha. Sorry - couldn't help it. Remember that Friends episode though with Monica and the frizzies? Go get braids :)
LOL...I'd stay at the beach too, so just put your hair up!
You are so funny!! I second the idea of little braids. (Perhaps you could have a Monica moment where you swing your hair around to the tune of "No woman, no cry"). When I went to London with my husband, my hairdryer blew out (even with the adapter thingy!) I still grimace at the picture of me and my frizzies in front of Big Ben...
Anna, you make me laugh.
ohmygracious. i can soooo relate. after living in the south for the past 27 years, i had forgotten what life with no humidity is like. just spent a week in the denver area. i would fix my hair in the morning, and at the end of the day? it STILL looked the same!! amazing!
Oh Anna - I so feel your pain too. I live in Richmond, VA where the humidity does the same thing to my hair - every day. But on a recent vacay to Portland, OR my boyfriend commented daily on how great my hair looked. and we thought men didn't notice the details
I grew up in FL...I totally get it.
Love your blog!
Oh yeah! I have the opposite problem - flat to my head hair.
i nominated you for an award on my blog. i hope you'll have time to spare from straightening your hair to take part. i admire your writing very much!
Hahahaha!! I'm sorry. It's not funny. Well, maybe a little funny? And cute. Let's not forget, cute.
Reminds me of the Friends episode when Monica gets cornrows on vacation.
Hey, you've copied my summer look!
I spent the last couple of days in Baltimore in 90 degree humid heat. I feel your pain.
Thanks for visiting me at cottage hideaway. I've been enjoying your site and signed on as a follower. Nice to meet you!
