If the Shoe Box Fits...

75 Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes packed and delivered! Our family did 35 and we joined Tim's office in doing 40 more!

Margaret made these cute stickers with a "Jack" blue ribbon on them for the plastic shoeboxes.

Shadow behaved and didn't eat any of the candy.

Tonight our 5th and 6th grade youth group will pack even more!

A big thank you to all of you who participated in this wonderful way to let kids all over the world know that THEY ARE LOVED.

What a blessing you are to so many, Anna! I started reading your blog months ago and am moved by your words, inspired by your strength, and refreshed by your realness. Every time I sync my blog reader I look for a new post from you first! Thankful I had an opportunity to cross paths with you (even if in cyberspace!) xxoo P.S. love the Stella&Dot jewelry - looks fab on you!

We do this, too, through our church. It's a wonderful outreach. I'm sure Jack is smiling away knowing what you are up to! xo Diana

You amaze me, Anna. I admire you ~ and that most generous and loving heart of yours ~ so very much.

(Oh, but I think Shadow needs a treat. Not that the shout out in the post and a sweet hug from Margaret aren't nice and all, but those firmly planted paws and glaring red eyes surely are a sign of 'good behavior remorse.' All I'm seeing from her right now is "Why, oh why, didn't I snag something when I had the chance?!" ;-))

Just wanted you all to know that we have 17 ready to be dropped off tomorrow. I thought of you all and Jack as I packed each one and prayed that it would find its way to just the right child. May God comfort all of you through the love of those around you.

I am from Ohio and was in your area over the weekend for soccer games. I thought of you often. I am happy to read that you were all busy sharing your generous spirits with others. Such a tremendous tribute to Jack!

Love it!! SO great. We brought ours to church last week and it was fun to see the huge piles in the lobby. Such a great mission. Blessings! -Annie

Hi Anna-I just wanted to leave you a quick note to tell you how much your words help me and my family. My 5 year old and 9 year old each filled a box and it was phenomenal to see them recognize how many blessings we have compared to so many. My 5 year old was shocked to discover that others might not have toothbrushes! Thank you.

Maybe you'll have another post today or tomorrow and I can comment then, but in case you don't, I just wanted to let you know that I am thankful for you! This is the second Thanksgiving where I feel blessed to know a family I've never met, and blessed to have a glimpse of Jack's too short life. I will be thinking of all four of you!

My heart is so heavy these past few days. Our neighbors lost their 22 year old son in a car accident the other night. The neighborhood is in shock. Such awful news.

I will be praying for them and your family this holiday season.

@Princess Kate, I'm very sorry to hear of the loss, especially one so young. That's so sad.

Just stopping by to let you know that you and your dear family are in my thoughts. Praying you'll feel Jack's loving presence surrounding you ~ and wanting you to know how thankful I am to have 'met' Jack through his amazing Mother's heartfelt words.

This is an amazing initiative. My mum is a school teacher, I will show her your project and hopefully the kids will do it at school.

What a tough time of year for you guys. And you've moved into the second year. I will pray that He makes you to lie down in green pastures: that he leads you beside the still waters.
