Blogger Question

I promise we will soon be back to our regularly scheduled program of posts about my armpit hair and the like, but first I have a technical question for my blogging friends:

Why am I not able to leave comments on people's blogs?

For the past week or so, after I've written a comment and hit "post comment," Blogger takes me back to the main Blogger screen and makes me log in again. I do that. Then it takes me back to my comment screen where I have to type in a word verification.

Which I do.

Then it takes me back to the main Blogger screen and makes me log in again.

Which I don't do.

I do say a bad word.

Then I admit to myself that none of my comments are remotely interesting enough to warrant this much work.

So I log off.

Then I take a nap.

Please help me before I lose all of my friends.

Thanks!

P.S. This doesn't happen every time I try to comment, but maybe 1/2 to 2/3rds.

No idea - but how frustrating!

I haven't been able to leave any comments either! (Let's see if this one works!) I'm not a blogger, but it makes me log into my google account that I'm already logged into, and then it tries to make me sign up to start my own blog. Which I've considered, but it wouldn't be interesting, plus I'm not going to do it just to leave a comment. All that to say. . . I don't know? But you are not alone!

This same thing was happening to me on your blog a couple of weeks ago. There were several times I wanted to leave a comment but it wouldn't let me. It kept trying to get me to open a blogger account. I just though blogger was targeting me because of my wordpress account. ;)

PS So glad you agreed with me about MDD. I read one designer's review who had an even more violent reaction than we did. :)

That's strange. My Google reader has been acting weird, but I've been able to comment...

I've read of several people having this problem, but so far I haven't had to deal with it. Knock on wood.

Yeah that's pretty frustrating.... Regardless of comments etc, I still love your blog! I just gave you a teensy shout out in my post and added you to my blogroll. Yep, I think you're THAT cool, even if blogger is lame and makes commenting oh-so-hard

Hi Anna,
That's happened to me, too. I just usually hit the "comment" button a second time and then I get the comment form. :)

Annoying!! I will often give up on a comment because it won't show me a captcha but insists that I type the one it is not showing. So I'm with you on the giving up and the napping. Of course right now there is one appearing, as if to mock me.

Second times the charm. Most of the time. And it's funny: I just assumed it was me.

I haven't been able to leave them either!! Every time I try, it says that I'm leaving them as anonymous...

Whoa... but that last one just worked. Hmmm...

hi! i came across your blog hitting the "next blog" button in a fit of boredom (not you, me!) and i think i know the answer. it's the browser. if you switch to chrome it will work. hopefully the others will work again soon but chrome works now. best wishes.

smiles, bee

No idea how to fix that. But you made me laugh with your "bad word".

I've been having some Blogger issues myself. I noticed mine when I was trying to change settings. None of my editing buttons are showing on my screen, and it keeps asking me to log-in, even when I am. But I cheated and found a loophole by accessing through my dashboard.

Hopefully they work things out soon.
