Hip-T Giveaway!

Remember when I wrote about the hip-T? It's an ingenious stretchy band that covers your "assets" and prevents muffin-top and rear cleavage.

I made my own by cutting up my daughter's tiny tank tops.

Well, I contacted the folks at hip-T and they sent me one to try! And they would love to give a hip-T of your choice to one of An Inch of Gray's readers!

Get ready for fall when you'll be digging out those jeans again. Wouldn't it be great to be able to reach down and tie your child's shoe without giving away all of your womanly secrets?

I have tried the Original hip-T and am very impressed! It is super soft, stays in place, and doesn't shrink when washed. I like how it retains its shape, while my homemade ones get stretched out. It ads length to my long-sleeved tees that have gotten a little too short. When the shirt moves, the hip-T stays in place.

As for sizing, I would say they are true to size, but they are snug! I ordered a small, but I wish I'd ordered a medium. I may have to give my small away to another lucky reader. Please refer to previous posts about Oreo Truffles or summer weight gain for further explanation.

If you would like to win a hip-T, just comment on this post. For fun, could you let me know about your favorite problem-solving product or accessory?

An Inch of Gray followers, leave another comment for an EXTRA chance to win.

Here's the hip-T website to see which hip-T you would like to pick if you win!

Giveaway closes Saturday, 7/16 at noon.

Thank you to hip-T for providing me with a hip-T to review. I was not provided any monetary compensation for this post.

  1. I wish I had some fun fashion advice. Best I can do, I told my son I wanted him to nominate me for "What Not to Wear," and he replied, "You do alright." Hm, not a ringing endorsement!

The Hip T idea is a good one for me, can you say, "Ellie is ridiculously long waisted?" If my leg length matched my proportions, I'd be six feet tall.

  2. And I follow you.

The first two comments? I'm a shoe-in to win in a random drawing!

  3. This is a great idea! I just had a baby, so I still have the band I used to turn regular pants into maternity pants, etc. I love that you can turn pants with an "oh, gosh, that's too low a waistline" into "now that's wearable" with this fake-out!
I wish I had a good tip for ya, but I'm always in need of 'em myself!

  5. I'm trying to get back into shape after baby #3... this T is perfect!!!

My current favorite go-to solution are my TKees flipflops in champagne color. Neutral, yet feminine. I can wear them with sexy little dresses, jeans, beach cover-ups, leggings, shorts, whatever... the PERFECT shoe for summer!

  6. I remember when you wrote about your home-made version and I did it too! I love the idea and it is so helpful! But I don't have a daughter to "steal" from so I cut my own and they stretch too much!

Pick me to win!! Black please.

  8. I have no fashion tips whatsoever...I am such a boring dresser. I guess safety pins, as sad as that is, as they quickly turn my jeans into cute capri's and then back to jeans again! :)

  9. I need this!

I couldn't live without technical running tees... cotton is the enemy! Sweat-wicking tees are the best!

  13. I use a lot of long spaghetti strap shirts to try to achieve this same result. Maybe this would be better. Or they could start making shirts longer. Haha

  18. What a great idea. This would be perfect for work, since I buy low-rise pants to fit comfortably under the tummy I am trying to lose.

Currently, I spot a cardigan pretty much everyday. It covers a multitude of sins: too tight around the tummy, flabby arms, a little too low-cut for work, etc.
