There are still a few days left if you would like your family to do a Valentine Gratitude Box (or jar or basket). It's one of my favorite family traditions.
I love having that little pink box brighten up our kitchen on the sometimes chilly, dreary days leading up to V Day.
And speaking of cheering up. Do you see that little bit of yellow peeking out there?
I found a small café chair at the thrift store for $2.50 and gave it a (kind of sloppy) coat of spray paint this week to add more color to the kitchen. I ran out of paint, so don't look too closely.
Here's the before:
And here's the after.
Want to join me for a mug of tea?
a little dose of sunshine! xo
ReplyDeleteWhy yes, yes I do. And did you know I have a yellow chair at my kitchen table too? Twinsies.
ReplyDeleteI love the chair! It makes me feel like someone special is at the table :)
ReplyDeleteLove the chair!
ReplyDeletelove that pop of yellow- a ray of sunshine!
ReplyDeleteSplashes of color are my favorite way to welcome joy into my house. Love the look!
ReplyDeleteYellow - my favorite color!
ReplyDeleteYes, yes, Anna. I'd love to sit on your sweet sunshine chair and soak up some warmth with tea for two! I miss seeing you...
ReplyDeleteI would love to have a cup of tea with you :-)
ReplyDeleteP.S. I noticed a door with an oval window in it and thought of you the other day. (wondering what you decided - we get a number of people who come to the door so I like having a solid door and the option to pretend I'm not home - I especially dislike it when they knock with "tap-tap tap-tap-tap like they are someone familiar) Sorry, I'm getting off topic - I am more self-conscious typing this on Facebook so wanted to add it here.
Your yellow chair is just charming! Did you go to Unique to find it? I must get myself back over there soon.
ReplyDeleteWe stole this love box idea from you several years ago...we also stole ice cream for breakfast on the first snow day of the year... and they have become two of my favorite family traditions. Thank you for sharing! you inspire me to be a more intentional (and fun) mom!
ReplyDeletei love that yellow chair. speaks of old world and simpler times!
ReplyDeleteOhhh, beautiful yellow chair and I love the chevron chairs as well! Looks so comfy! We are still using my Oma's dining set from years gone by - solid but not so comfy. Looking forward to choosing a 'forever' set someday!
