The room was even fully stocked with an open bar! It was wasted on me. I traveled with my own Constant Comment tea bags as I am known to do.
I didn't take as many photos as I wish I had, but maybe these will warm you up on a cold, snowy day. Either that, or they'll make you seethe with jealousy. But I hear that seething is warm, too, so that'll work.
And as much as I love a nice break, it's always good to come home. I'm so glad to be back here with you today.
Not afraid to rock the long sleeved Land's End swim shirt. No sunburns here!
Margaret started reading The Glass Castle as soon as I finished it. Maybe she'll think Tim and I are awesome parents now!
Love that face!A drip castle, like old times.
Speaking of old, old friends are the best. So happy to see my friend Ana who lives in Cancun after so many, many years.
View from our room.
Why I could never move to a tropical paradise without a personal hairstylist.
Weather was perfect! Not hot or cold.
Painting pottery.
How fun would it be to have a little thatch umbrella in our back yard?
Or maybe one of these?
Oh well. There's no place like home!
So happy you enjoyed that much needed rest after your writing spree. I'm praying for you and everyone connected to it as it comes to market. Love you! Karen
ReplyDeleteLooks like you all had a great time and a much deserved vacation. So nice to see you all enjoying life. God bless.
ReplyDeleteI am of the "seething with jealousy" nature! Just kidding. So very happy that you guys were able to get away to somewhere WARM!!!! Looks like you had an awesome time. And I am with you on the hair and tropical climate...I look like a crazy person running around with frizzed wavy red hair when I go somewhere tropical. Needless to say, I wear a lot of pony tails at the beach. Can't wait to get updates on your book Anna. I think of you and your family almost daily and I offer up a quick prayer of peace for you all. Love and hugs from Purcellville!
ReplyDeleteWhat a stunningly beautiful resort. So good to see you making new memories as a family. Miss Margaret looks beautiful as always. And I don't know if the feelings you had before about water, when you were a little worried about a lakeside cabin, extended to the beach or the ocean, but maybe this was also overcoming that issue in another brave step?
ReplyDeleteSo glad you got to get some time away! Margaret (and all of you) look beautiful...
ReplyDeleteGlad also to have you back, of course, as you light up our day. Many thanks, and much love.
Looks like a wonderful trip! We have more snow here in Ontario than we know what to do with... we're making the best of it, but I could definitely use some of that sun and heat, for sure.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you had a wondeful time. Margaret is so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing like a vacation. Also - Constant Comment is MY FAVORITE. Let's drink together next time we meet-up!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like an amazing trip! Definitely a great time to leave the cold and head to a milder climate -- with fantastic views!
ReplyDeleteLooks gorgeous. Glad you got to go. :)
ReplyDeleteI buy Constant Comment every time I go to the States because orange spice tea here tastes like hot orange juice.
ReplyDeleteI loved the pictures - all of them. What a cheerful, sunny place.
I had to laugh at your Diana Ross hairstyle..mine does the same darn thing in heat!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like an amazing place to vacation. Lucky girl.
Anna, your pictures are so happy and warm and make me think that summer will come just a little quicker, maybe? OK I can dream.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! Moon Palace is where my husband and I went on our honeymoon! Loved that place! so glad you were able to get away.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds HEAVENLY. (And my hair would be doing the same thing)
ReplyDeleteSo happy you got a chance to get away for that wonderful, little vacation. And love your photos...you all look great! But, happy that you are back again...safe & sound and looking forward to your posts. Sending love & hugs.

ReplyDeleteThat looked so warm and wonderful. You make the perfect Lands End model. Just like you stepped out of a catalog. Too cute. I always look like an imposter when wearing there stuff.
ReplyDeleteSeething and happy for you at the same time! This looks fabulous - as do you!! Wowza.
ReplyDeleteMargaret is so beautiful.
When we went on a 5ish day trip to Jamaica last December, my daughter read The Glass Castle too! And I had hair issues. It's still not talking to me, as a matter of fact.
ReplyDeleteIt looks and sounds perfect. So glad you were able to get away for a short vacation. ((HUGS))
ReplyDeleteOh man does that look nice and relaxing!!! Glad you all had a wonderful trip - I'm a bit jealous...never been to Cancun, but may have to get there one day! :) Looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteoooh. this did warm me up momentarily. thank you! and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you had a lovely getaway. New memories to cherish.
ReplyDeleteAnd...your hair pic reminded me of the Friends episode where they go to Barbados and Monica's hair takes on a life of its own. Cute.
I could go for some of this right about now! The snow here shows no signs of melting anytime soon. And I think I need one of those Land's End shirts! I always get sunburned.
ReplyDeleteBut you look fantastic! So glad you got away and had some fun!
A much deserved getaway and hopefully a bit healing. Margaret is just adorable.
