Thank You!

Many thanks to my beautiful, generous friend Jill Perlman, a Stella and Dot stylist, for donating her entire $1,600 in profits to Samaritan's Purse in Jack's honor. And a big thank you to all of YOU who bought and bought and bought beautiful jewelry either in person or online to make that total so whopping high! Your generosity will help provide food and water to needy people around the world. I am humbled and grateful.

  1. I am so happy that so much money was raised. I bought a studded bracelet. The studs are in all different shapes, but there is only one heart. I have designated that to be for your Jack's and it makes me think about him and you when I wear it.

  3. i know this might belong in the lobbie section but wanted to make sure you saw today. here goes. my husband mentioned nonchalantly that he bought our cats new toys. oh, that's so sweet. it was morning. rush. rush. rush. i was rushing out the door for work and suddenly stopped and said, OH, show me! and he held out his hand. and instead of the usual birds and bells and balls and feathers and lizards and frogs and catnip, he showed me the new toy. a small plushie. red. it was a lobster. gasp. jack's angel wings travel far, that little doll!!

  6. This is not about jewelry, or even today's post, but I need to tell you regardless. My mother died very suddenly in her sleep Monday morning. It is a crushing, unexpected loss. But because of all that you've so beautifully shared about losing Jack, I've been able to repeatedly remind myself that I am far from alone in my grief. I've also been inclined--as I never would have been before reading of your experiences--to look for reminders that her presence remains with us. Butterflies may be her way of reaching toward us; I don't know. But thank you. While I would gladly forfeit these lessons from you if only you could have your sweet boy back, barring that, I thank you for sharing your experiences and all you're learning each day. We are all the richer for reading. Thanks be to God.
