I was praying for you this morning on the way in to work. You, Tim, & Margaret. I'd like to say something profound & healing, but the closest you'd get is the story of how, last weeek, I jumped in my car to take my son to Tae Kwon Do. Half a block later, when it was unusually quiet in the car, I checked the backseat. Ooops. No boy. He was in the other car. Had to do a quick u-turn with a very red face. Well, laughter is good mediciine!! ;) Blessings on you all. xo Cindy
Hi Anna. Found your blog through my sister. I have to say your blog is the best yet my sister has introduced me to. May God continue to give you and your family the strength to carry on!
You Bettcha Jack has made people think about how they are living their lives.............I'M living proof! I wish I had the courage to tell you more or the why and how he has improved my life but please JUST KNOW HE HAS made an impact on someone!
I'm with luv2run, not with the love to run part, but with the "Jack's example and your writing about him has made a positive impact on how I live my life" part. Bless you, and I will make sure to watch the video of your speech.
Will see you at the show. Just bought tickets to take my mom. We are both hormonal so I'll just start shoving Kleenex in my purse now. Break a leg, Anna!
I'm so jealous of everyone who will get to hear you. I have no doubt you will speak straight to the hearts of those in attendance! It's cool to read that we have a lot of similarities including being detail people (which incidentally, have you found this to be extremely helpful at bridal/baby shower games?), we're former teachers, and I even have a stand up routine! I only pray to be like you in those many other ways that make you so profound. God bless you and this special event.
GREAT JOB! I check on you everyday! You are being so brave and your words minister to my soul so profoundly. We will probably never meet but I think and pray for you often. Love you and praying for you. Nell
I soooo wish I lived closer and be there. I would love to hear you speak. Hell, I would just like to see you. You are going to be wonderful - I know it.
I love your honesty Anna. I was flipping through the channels tonight and caught a rainbow during the Yankees game. I definitely know that's Jack's love shining down. Thinking of you guys and praying for comfort, peace and faith.
I LOVE your little space here on earth ~ it makes us readers truly value the meaning of our short life here before the greater one God has when we depart. I think of your Jack often. What a great Mom and loving family he was born into. You should be so proud of the life you created here for him, he must be smiling down from Heaven. Your posts are heartbreaking and inspiring at the same time - Thank you for caring for all of your followers...we love you and admire you.
Yesterday, I was leaving FH ELM after my sons basketball game and saw you in the parking lot....it took EVERY OUNCE of me to not come over to give you a mommy to mommy hug. This is one of those times I felt like I would be intruding into your life. It looked like you got a hair cut from your pictures , looks really cute!
I cry and pray regularly for you and your family... God has placed you on my heart since Jack's accident, and though living in Pittsburgh now... I know so many of the places you talk about because I grew up there, too... I cannot tell you how your courage and honesty make me proud to know you even in passing... I do pray each day be filled with a little more light and a little less dark...know you continue to be thought of and lifted up often...thank you for sharing so honestly...
I just re-read the whole series for the umpteenth time recently. Oh dear, oh dear. I can't speak in public without crying, even if I'm reciting a comedy. Only on God's strength, I think, so yes I will pray.
Do you know the story of Moses lifting his hands in battle and whenever he would lower his hands the battle would be lost and whenever he would raise them the battle would turn in their favor? But it went on for some time and he got tired, so other people held his hands up so that the battle would be won. And the battle was won.
After reading what you want for both your kids.....tears.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and hugs, and wish I were local.

This is us holding your hands up.
He used words like "fancy garb"? lol, love that kid
ReplyDeleteDid you know (of course you didn't) that I knew you'd be part of the cast.
ReplyDeleteWithout you mentioning it, without you telling anyone, I knew you'd audition and be chosen.
All along, I felt it.
I wish I could be there.
