For the week or so before Valentine's Day we have been writing down things we love and appreciate about our family members on slips of paper and putting them in this little heart shaped box (.99 at Michael's)
We will read them out loud on Valentine's Day.
...at least I hope the other members of the family are doing it too. Mama wants some love.

What a wonderful idea! This made me smile, and now I'm wondering if I can make a hasty retreat to Michael's tomorrow and get my family on something like this, too! Hope you get a full heart!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this idea Anna. Is that box metal? It's so pink and shiny! Pretty!
ReplyDeleteYou better share the notes after the fact...
I love the fact that you can keep a jar full of those conversation hearts without eating them all.
ReplyDeleteAnna-
ReplyDeleteLove it, too bad Stink Butt can't write yet! If I get around to it mind if I share this post on my blog?

Put this in there:
ReplyDelete"Ellie in Illinois loves my blog."
That's the charmingest idea and the sweetest display too. I know you'll get lots of Valentines from your fam.

love this! i should do it for myself... oh, and can you please adopt me?! :]
ReplyDeleteGreat idea, but I have to say that the huge jar of heart candies distracted me a lot! They would not last many days in my house....and I am the only sweet eater!!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this idea. I wish I'd thought of it. And like a week ago. You're brilliant.
ReplyDeleteLOVE this idea!
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome idea! It's these little things your kids are going to look back on and love you all the more for.
ReplyDeleteThis is an AWESOME idea. You're such a fun mom.
