Get your minds out of the gutter.
Here are some pictures Blogger didn't seem to want me to add to my last post.
Kitchen: (Yes, there are fake pears hiding under there)
Living Room: (HUGE wreath on window above couch)
Some of these silver balls are 47 years old.
Dining Room
So now you have what the See house is looking like this Christmas.
What is
YOUR go-to look for Holiday Decorating?
Red and gold. I bought most of my stuff from Pier One.
ReplyDeleteThe See house is much more classy than my house. We are dripping in multicolored lights!!!!
ReplyDeleteI do a lot with ornaments in bowls and vases too, and I was wondering if I went at all overboard. But since you do similarly, and since I like yours...I'm A-Okay!
ReplyDeletePhew!
Right now, my look is nothing! That's not entirely true - the outside stuff is up. I have a feeling that only about 1/2 of the inside stuff will go up this year. Oh well!
ReplyDeleteYours looks great!
We have more of a quilted, homemade look.
ReplyDeleteMany times I have toyed with the idea starting new... and going to a classy look. I LOVE your balls.
But then I look back at my table runner, and placemats, and the cross-stitch ornaments and remember who made them.... and fall in love with them all over again.
Um... a menorah and the pumpkins that are still kicking around from the Fall. So sad...
ReplyDeleteYour place looks lovely.
We have one giant tree, artificial, and every year when my husband lugs it upstairs and we stand over it's dismantled mess, we wonder why we didn't get a smaller tree when they were marked down the previous season. Then we buck up and put the beast up. I have a lot of ornaments, but there's still never enough. Several years ago, I tried to pass a silver, white, and blue scheme off on my family. Snowflakes, icicles, ribbons, white lights. I got that for one year, maybe two, then they boys insisted that was enough and the trees now filled with all our old ornaments. I always say I don't really like them, but when they are finally put up, I concede that it's a good luck. We still need more, though.
ReplyDeleteThis year, the tree was about all we did, aside from the stockings on the mantle. I love the idea of a fully decorated house, but I don't love the idea of having it all over the place for a month+. Too much stuff makes me much too crazy!

ReplyDeleteSorry for the deleted comment. Way too many errors...what is my problem? One I can live with...but multiple errors? I don't think so.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful -- love the antique ones and your dining room table display. My go-to look: hodge-podge. I know, it's all the rage.
BTW, loved the Tender Moments post below -- I think you're wicked funny.
It's all about the tree for me. But of course, you already know that. And I love your holiday decor. Silver is beautiful - red and green have never really done it for me.
