dude. seriously. i can get the clothes from the hamper to the washer. i can get (usually) the clothes from the washer to the dryer. but from dryer to the closet or drawers?? takes an act of God. don't know what that's all about.
but the duggars? they have able bodied older children who help. and unlike my kids… they actually help.
I swear, I'd love to know myself. I just finished folding yet another load today - I probably do about 8 loads a week ... sometimes 10 depending on how many outfit changes the kids had.
My kid's primary jurisdiction is just remember to get his dirty socks in his hamper. Today, I had to tell him 39,592 times to put his dirty socks in his hamper. I'd take 13 of those 19 Duggar kids to whip this place into shape starting with my 1 kid!
Seriously good question.
ReplyDeleteI often let my sit in the dryer for days. That way no one knows it is unfinished. On the couch would really mess with my relaxed tv watching!
ReplyDeleteI feel like I am drowning in laundry most days.

ReplyDeleteIt's the one chore I actually despise doing...
That is our futon. And there are only two of us!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful laundry pile. I think the look is catching on! :)

ReplyDeleteSigh. Don't remind me! (:
ReplyDeleteTheir kids do it! (True.)
ReplyDeleteMy husband does mine now, but when I was single, I used my dryer as another drawer...it was just off my bedroom and so handy!
My dining room table looks the same as your couch! Hysterical!
ReplyDeleteI have both the dining room table AND a couch covered. Ugh.
ReplyDeleteThe Duggars have cheap child labor. I bet she hasn't folded a sock in a decade or more!
ReplyDeleteBwahahahahahaha: the capcha word is 'undes'! Undies! *snort*
I am with you and Purejoy. I lose steam on the folding and putting away too.
ReplyDeletejbhat
seriously. your blog is SO cute!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAt least yours is CLEAN! That's what my laundry room full of DIRTY clothes looks like! :)
ReplyDeleteMy least favorite chore.
ReplyDeleteI wish they had disposable clothes...LOL
omg...I totally took a picture of my laudry room...knee high with 7 load of dirty laundry..with the dog laying on of all of it in heaven!
ReplyDeleteI am about to have a VerySimilarSituation, if you get my drift. I fold while I watch TV. My husband makes the kids do it. Win-win, no?
ReplyDeleteI let mine sit in the dryer for days too. As long as I don't see it, it doesn't exist.
ReplyDeleteI would put $20 on Michelle Duggar hasn't folded a load of laundry in at least a decade. Those kids run the house, I mean have a hefty chore list.
ReplyDeleteShe has the kids do it. That's how my couch looks right now.
ReplyDeleteExactly what Rachel said...she has the kids do it. And I do the same thing as Brenda...I let it sit in the dryer.
