Toy Box Re-Do

I found a tired old toy box just screaming for a re-do:

I took some chalkboard paint to make a panel in the front, painted the rest a creamy white (heirloom white, of course!) and added some vintage-looking scrapbook paper to the inside for fun.

Now she's ready for toys, shoes, or whatever life throws at her.

  1. So cute. I actually used the exact same scrapbook paper as art in my bathroom. Seriously, scrapbook paper is so pretty lately! http://www.budgetblonde.com/2010/05/art-on-cheap.html

  9. Very cute! It's all about the chalkboard paint these days, isn't it?

I love how you gave some examples of the different uses. Your refinishing projects remind me of a show I used to watch on HGTV, "Decorating Cents," especially the junk store makeovers they feature at the end. Good stuff!

  15. I found that exact same toy box at a thrift store and im making it over now. That original pattern is so ugly i thought it was a custom paint job. But i guess it was mass produced.
