Chasing the Blues Away

What to do when your decorating has stagnated and you have neither the time nor the $ for a big project?

Just find something on your wall, spray paint it, and stick it right back up.

Remember my laundry room turned office?

Well, there was a mirror on the opposite wall that needed a little fun.

5 minutes with Krylon Blue Ocean Breeze and we're both feeling perkier. In need of some Windex, but definitely perkier.

Dust and cobweb removal always optional.

  1. It looks great, I love the new look. :)

I also love how a few minutes of pressing a spray paint can gives one such a sense of accomplishment! That is if you don't leave the said spray-painted projects laying around in the garage for days. Not me, not me at all.

  3. How cute is that room? You have a knack. I on the other hand, have a decorating black thumb.

I must come here for inspiration.

  4. You are, without question, my spray-paint superhero. And my own spray paint project for future months include trying to paint a mirror and painting a bunch of stuff turquoise -- so this one is definitely inspirational!

  6. Anna, I love your office! Do you still have the washer/dryer in your laundry room turned office? Or did you move them elsewhere?

  9. Good thing you don't have a wall-mounted flat screen TV, but I admire your... moxie (that's the word). I debate everything to death and you just do it, and it looks great.

  10. I love that! I need to get more creative with my bedroom (What? I said "with" not "in" you perv). Seriously though - it's the one room we didn't get around to painting before the twins came along and the white walls have been been slowly driving me insane for the past four years. The rickety distressed white side tables could defintely benefit from a new paint job...Now I just have to come up with a color idea.

  13. Spray paint is the BEST!
Totally cheap, fast and a huge bang for your buck.
Is that an antique or IKEA? I have a pic frame that looks so similar...

  14. Cool! It gives the room a Tiffany's vibe. I'm a newbie to the spray paint world. I painted a lamp marked "free" from someone's driveway bright orange (awesome) and am preparing to paint some reeds I picked up at Hobby Lobby a glossy bright white for a vase on the fireplace mantle in the living room. I'll let you know how it goes....
