Yep, Shadow's in the dog house.

Guess I'm not the only one who did a lot of mindless eating this winter.

  1. Oh I just had a visit like that also! LOL I have to measure Tucker's food from now on! He gained two pounds from the last visit. He has a thyroid problem and is on medicine, he should be losing not gaining! Good Luck!

  9. Hilarious!!

Do you know the trick about french cut green beans? If you replace 1/4 cup of their food with green beans (cooked or canned) they don't feel deprived and they lose weight.

  10. So is Shadow going on the green bean diet? Maybe he could try grapefruit juice and cayenne pepper? Just kidding. He looks so affronted, as well he should.

  11. Does the green bean thing work for humans? Poor Shadow--I feel your pain!

In the South, we call it "puttin' on".

  12. Too funny. That happened to my parents yellow lab too. We adopted our black lab a couple of years ago and he was actually underweight, poor thing. Now he's healthy and we really really try not to give him too many treats so he stays that way! If only we had the same self discipline with ourselves!!

  13. Ouch! Doggie dieting is the absolute WORST! They don't know so they follow you around all the time begging for those little treats.

  14. Dally sends love and sympathy to her sister Shadow. And a treat.

  15. Oh so sorry. It is just the winter I tell ya. You do a lot of sitting and no running so you are going to gain weight. It is just life.
